How long do disney photopass
In reading all the questions and comments I am now concerned. If we wait until we are at the parks to purchase the Memory Maker the ones we took for the first 72 are not included in the free downloads. I hope I am wrong! You can certainly purchase this in advance!
Be sure to do it at least 3 days in advance to get a slight discount. It won't be activated until you enter the park and scan your Magic Band at the first PhotoPass stop.
How long does the memory maker last. My niece will be going to Disney about 3 weeks before I get there. We were thinking of sharing the cost if the memory maker doesn't expire before I get there. You can begin capturing photos as soon as you purchase Memory Maker.
Once you download the first photo on Disney PhotoPass or the My Disney Experience Mobile App—or otherwise redeem your Memory Maker purchase—you then have 30 days to capture more photos.
Just remember to download your photos before they expire! If you purchased Memory Maker at the advance purchase price, photos taken within 3 days of the date of purchase will not be included in Memory Maker and must be purchased separately.
It was hard enough for us to get the money to visit Disney even doing everything the cheapest way possible but it was also very hard to come up with the money to buy the one day memory Maker. My husband and I cashed in his work stocks to get the money to take our grandkids to Disney and we were very pleased with the pics the Disney photo pass employees took, even though we didn't get to take as much as advantage of this as I would have liked.
When I seen the pics we did get I knew I had to do what I could to get them. I worked overtime at work to get the money to purchase the pics. I downloaded them to my phone and couldn't wait to print some and share them with my grandkids parents. Due to a busy schedule with the holiday and illnesses I had not had the time until a couple days ago. To my surprise I went to my phone to send them to my daughter all my pics were gone.
No where to be found, not in my albums and not under my downloads. I was under the impression as long as I downloaded them off the app and PAID for them they would be mine to keep. Guess not!!! Very very disappointed in Disney and myself for even getting excited about the pics to start with.
A couple of those pics my daughter didn't even get to see of her children and now she never will. I never thought I would be as disappointed with Disney as I am now!! If I wasn't going to get to keep the photos what was the point of purchasing them. Buyers beware buying something I guess doesn't always mean it is yours.
We are so sad to hear it! As you noted, there's a time limitation to download, at which point the photos are yours to keep. We highly suggest giving Disney PhotoPass a call, as they might be able to locate those photos for you so that you're able to re-download they do this often for "lost" photos for folks!
Fingers crossed that this helps! So I guess I just need some clarification about this memory Maker, I am familiar with the photo pass. I purchase memory Maker and then there is a price for each down loaded photo as well? And then if I am the owner of the memory Maker, I am the one that has to down load and photo that anyone in my party wants? There will be about 20 of us in November, that could be tons of photos to go thru and tons of downloads to pay for, I assume by the owner?
If you purchase Memory Maker, you'll receive unlimited digital downloads of your PhotoPass pictures and videos at no extra cost ordering physical prints would cost extra for each photo.
Since you'll have a big party, the photos will likely be downloaded in batches of. Photos expire after 45 days from the date they're taken, so you do have some time to go through them all before you're unable to download them.
However, we'd suggest saving them all right after your trip, so you don't froget. I purchased Memory Maker, which was not a good investment. Here is what no one at Disney will tell you. You do not need to pay for Memory Maker in order to get photos taken by the Disney Photographers.
For that reason, there is sometimes a long line. Unless you want to spend your day in lines for photographes, you will either skip the photo, or more often just take one with your phone. I took many with my phone for free and just about a dozen with the photographers. We really like the convenience of the MagicBands for PhotoPass, FastPasses, and room key and charging abilities if you're staying at a Disney World Resort, but you can certainly get by with the traditional card.

Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland The Tangled Wall the restroom area in Fantasyland — and you'll sometimes find a PhotoPass photographer across the way at Peter Pan's Flight with a lantern prop as night falls! Memory Maker Pros and Cons You may be wondering, in the digital age, why should I waste my time on a photo service?
Here are our honest thoughts on Memory Maker: Memory Maker Cons: Your photos expire, so you have to remember to download them before they disappear. The cost. While you can save some money by purchasing a single day or buying in advance, it's still an added cost and that's a lot of Dole Whips. The longer your trip, the more reasonable that cost may seem.
If you're an avid photo-taker anyway, you may find your phone or camera is enough for you. There are less PhotoPass photographers around right now. Likewise, PhotoPass photographers are not available currently at character dining experiences since these are modified or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which is temporarily closed.
Memory Maker Pros: Everyone can get in the photo! No more mom or dad missing as they snap the family or asking a stranger to help. Everyone on your Friends and Family list can get in on the photo fun for one price. You don't have to dig for your camera, or remember to take photos — you see a photographer, you can stop. It's quick and easy to get your photo taken — the shot is already set and ready for smiles. While I know my way around a camera and Tad really, really knows his way around a camera , PhotoPass photographers are true pros. They take better photos than I could most of the time. Most trip photos are then accessible in one central location.
PhotoPass photographers cannot handle your phone or camera at this time due to health and safety precautions. If you have Memory Maker, my kids hate me for this, but I suggest that you stop at almost every PhotoPass stop. Since all photos are included in your Memory Maker, it never hurts to grab extra shots!
While most photos we've taken have been good quality, in our opinion, there have been a few that are just meh. Take advantage of the options at your disposal so you have plenty to choose from. There are often several photo stops for the same area; there are usually about four or five for Cinderella Castle! If there's a long line at one, and you aren't particular about the shot, keep walking.
On Main Street especially, folks tend to stop at the first photographer they see, so that first line is often the longest. PhotoPass photographers are great about different configurations in the shot, but if you have a particular setup or shot in mind, it never hurts to ask. When Tad got a button for making Honor Roll, for example, the rest of us got kicked out of the shot to shine the spotlight on him — and we asked if Lily could join him for one afterwards. On that note, if you are celebrating something, iconic photos are a great way to commemorate the trip!
Ask about Magic Shots. If that particular photographer doesn't have one available, they can point you to someone who does! PhotoPass stops, MagicShots and special effects are always changing.
Stop and ask if you have questions — cast members are hoppy to help! Set a calendar appointment or reminder to snag your photos before they expire if you invested in Memory Maker! If you have a dining reservation close to or after park close, keep an eye out!

Mar 29, at a. Hi there! Mar 29, at p. Kerri Says You're very welcome, Kerri! You've got two separate expiration periods to deal with: 1 PhotoPass photos expire after 45 days, unless you purchase a one-time day extension, which you must do BEFORE they expire. Your photos have expired already, so they'd have to be recovered first, and even then, you're way beyond the day maximum. This day window is not connected to the expiration of your photos - the day countdown starts when you make your first download, and it can end before your photos are all expired, or it can continue after all of your photos have expired.
If you didn't download a single photo, then your Memory Maker entitlement is still good. But if you downloaded even one photo before they expired, then your Memory Maker entitlement will also be expired. So, first things first - can they bring back all of your expired photos? If they can't, then that's that, your photos will be gone. If they can bring back all of your expired photos, AND your Memory Maker entitlement has not been used, then you should be able to download your photos.
This is a lot of IFs, though, so like I said - be prepared for disappointment. Or at the very least, for a lot of time on the phone explaining over and over what happened and waiting for someone to get back to you. ShareBDwithMickey said:. Click to expand PinnySmart Well-Known Member.

Earlier this year we let our window slip by because, to it simply, I was an idiot and didn't download them when I should have and for some reason about half our photos disappeared for three weeks but reappeared right before our window closed.
When we called, we simply explained what happened and asked if there was anything they could do. After a little bit of hold and more hold we were told that our photos would be restored overnight and they could see that our photos were all simply locked. To add to the great service response they mailed us a set of CDs and printed four or five of the best prints for free! Post reply. Magic Shots. Magic Shots are special edits to the above photos.
Character Photos. Most, but not all, character greetings at Disney World have a PhotoPass photographer on hand to take photos of your encounter. Character Dining Photos. Some character meals also have PhotoPass photographers on hand to take photos of your encounters with characters.
RunDisney Photos. Disney PhotoPass Studio. Use the arrows to flip between two photos of these situations. Emily has her own account, and I share my PhotoPass photos with her.
PhotoPass photographers will gladly take a photo of you using your own camera.
