What is eyefinity ready

Every hour, the system checks for orders that are in Received status in Eyefinity Practice Management and sends the notifications. Once the notifications are sent, the status of each order is changed to Notified. Notifications for orders set to Received after pm will be sent the following day at am. Your practice receives a daily results report via email of notifications sent over the previous 24 hours.

Before using Electronic Eyewear Ready Notifications, you need to set up providers in Eyefinity Practice Management to enable online scheduling. The patient receives a text message. Some cards will support EyeFinity with 4, 5 or 6 Mini DisplayPort connectors, which allows up to 6 displays to be used at once. The active adapter is very important. Using passive adapters will result in the projectors being seen in the list of available displays but unable to display signals at higher resolutions.

Tip: for best results, it is recommended to connect all the projectors from DisplayPort connections where possible. This way all displays will run off the same internal clock on the graphics card. With two or more projectors or monitors connected right click on the desktop and open AMD Catalyst control center. You will now be presented with a screen showing the displays currently connected to your system. Once chosen, select next to continue. If you are unhappy with the arrangement of the panels or projectors in your display group you can rearrange them.

We had a chance to experiment with Eyefinity earlier and came away impressed. In a private demo, representatives from AMD configured a group of six, 30" Dell WFP panels as a single display, in a 3 x 2 arrangement, with a resolution of x that's about The Windows desktop functioned as one monolithic surface, with all of that expansive resolution available to the user. What was more impressive than that though, was gaming on the six screens.

We had a chance to play an upcoming DX11 racing game, Dirt 2, at x with perfectly acceptable frame rates--a hint at the power of AMD's upcoming next gen Radeon graphics cards. We also spent some time gaming across three 30" displays in a 3 x 1 configuration with Left 4 Dead and have to say it absolutely changes the experience for the better. Even Francis would like it.

Upcoming Samsung Thin-Bezel Displays. At the time of launch, Eyefinity will support single-GPU configurations for gaming, but we're told CrossFire support will be coming at some point in the future as well.

The technology will require that at least one of the displays be equipped with a DisplayPort connection.
